Active Pre/Post Cruise Extension: Sample Itinerary
This 3-day, 2-night safari allows you to enjoy the Camp while exploring the highlights of Santa Cruz.
Not all cruise itineraries include a visit to the Charles Darwin Station or the highlands of Santa Cruz, for example, and none include the famous beach of Tortuga Bay on the southwest coast. If you love active sports — like hiking, biking, snorkeling or surfing — which cruise itineraries don’t cater for, our Active Safari Cruise Extension is ideal.

Full Itinerary
As with all our itineraries, they are fully customised according to your interests and needs. The key difference is that the ACTIVE SAFARI is planned directly with your host and private guide during your stay (as opposed to with your Safari Designer at the time of booking). This allows you to explore Santa Cruz at your own pace and with greater flexibility.
Some of the experiences we offer on this safari include:
- A tour of the farm
- Visiting the giant tortoise reserve
- The Twin Craters walk
- Lava Java Organic Coffee Plantation Tour
- Puerto Ayora and the Charles Darwin Station
- Naturalist Walk (Full or Half Day)
- Exploring the east (Full or Half Day)

- Garrapatero Beach (Full or Half Day)
- Biking
- Snorkelling

For more information on these experiences, download our Activity Menu here or contact one of our Safari Designers.
