Located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, our elevated tented Camp overlooks the Galapagos National Park and ocean beyond, placing you within the nature you have traveled so far to experience.
Giant tortoises roam the property. Endemic birds inhabit the trees. Wildlife is not confined to guided excursions or binoculars. It is part of daily life here, often quite literally on your doorstep.
With just nine Safari Tents and one Family Suite, our accommodation offers space, seclusion, and comfort that complements the landscape rather than competes with it.
Drift to sleep under a sky ablaze with stars, the occasional hoot of a hunting barn owl echoing through the night air. Wake to the soft hues of dawn as the first light filters through the trees and the Camp comes alive with the gentle calls of mockingbirds and warblers.
Galapagos Safari Camp was created by Michael Mesdag and Stephanie Bonham-Carter and remains family-owned and run.
Founded on a romantic impulse, it has always been as much a way of life as a business. Their aim was to share their own experience of the Galapagos, crafting journeys that feel personal, appropriate, and respectful of the destination.
As an alternative to cruises and large group travel, they shaped the Camp for travelers who value flexibility, customised itineraries, privacy, and a more authentic setting.
