Galapagos Experiences

For many, travel is more than just exploring new places; it’s an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones in an environment free from the distractions of everyday life. As Brené Brown said, “Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow.”

Our Safaris are designed with this principle at heart. We aim to create the settings for meaningful relationships to flourish. One of the most enriching ways to deepen bonds is by sharing new experiences together, whether it’s learning a new skill, discovering a lesser-known creature, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature side by side. These shared moments not only create lasting memories but may also ignite new interests, reveal hidden talents, or, like Darwin, plant the seeds of ideas that blossom into profound realizations later on.

Art Class

Many visitors to the Galapagos focus solely on wildlife sightings, often missing valuable moments of reflection—Darwin included! It was only during his daily walks after returning home that he connected the dots between his findings. Our private painting class with a local artist offers you the chance to reflect on your own experiences, transforming your observations into art and in turn, deepening your connection to, and understanding of the islands.

Artisanal Fishing

Charter a boat around Santa Cruz Island, fish with Galapagos experts, snorkel in marine-rich waters, and explore a secluded beach. This experience blends wildlife encounters, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism, providing local fishermen with alternative livelihoods while reducing overfishing. If your catch allows, enjoy freshly prepared sashimi on board.

Our mountain bikes offer the perfect blend of pace and immersion—faster than a tortoise, yet with a closer connection to nature than you’d experience inside a vehicle—allowing you to fully engage with the sights, sounds, and scents of the island.

Coffee Tour

Meet Don Adriano, a local coffee and sugar cane artisan who has been hand-crafting products here on Santa Cruz Island for nearly 40 years. A visit to his farm is a wonderful way to get a closer look at how life in the Galapagos Islands revolved long before imports became available. Learn about the different methods used to refine sugar cane, including the use of a mule-driven press, and see how artisan coffee is produced by hand to this day. Kindly note we can’t always guarantee that Don Adriano (and/or his mule) will be on duty during your visit. On his days off, a member of his family will lead the tour.

Hiking

Exploring the Galapagos Islands on foot is shaped by the islands’ stringent conservation efforts. With 97% of the archipelago protected by the Galapagos National Park, all hikers must be accompanied by an official guide and stick to marked trails, ensuring the preservation of these fragile ecosystems. Whether you prefer an easy walk or a more challenging hike, there are trails for all fitness levels.

Kayaking

One of the best ways to explore the Galapagos coastline and its thriving mangrove forests is by kayak. These resilient forests protect the shores from erosion while also serving as vital habitats for countless species. Beyond their beauty, mangroves play a crucial role in climate regulation, capturing more carbon dioxide than any other type of forest and helping to mitigate the impacts of sea level rise. Our kayaking tours will give you a deeper appreciation for the significance of these remarkable ecosystems.
